Sparkle! On Your Rally Sunday
When we see our environment all the time, we visually accept imperfections. We overlook chipped paint, clutter and disorganization. Take pictures of your areas, a camera will allow you to be objective in deciding what you can change and improve.
• Organize your committee of cleaners and handy volunteers.
• Divide the responsibilities into repairing, painting, cleaning and landscaping. Use special attention to your kitchen and bathrooms.
• Set a time schedule coordinating cleaning before painting, repairing before cleaning and yard work before the heat of the day.
• Remember this is a holiday week for most people. Work to spread the duties over many hands. The easier it is for volunteers to complete their tasks, the easier it is to ask for help in the future.
• You could make it a social event by adding a potluck to bring your volunteers together at the end of your Sparkle Day.
• You could plan a award for the team that completed their tasks first and best.
• Remember you are striving to put your best foot forward so your guests know you care about your Church Home.
