School will be out soon. Encourage students to invite their friends to Vacation Bible School. Provide them with ideas to include their friends. You could have a VBS registration drive and reward students at different grade levels that invite the most (or a certain) number of friends. It’s always more fun to learn and grow when we include our friends. Check your pre-registered students against your congregation. Personally invite families that haven’t registered yet. Be prepared to help them over some time and money hurdles. Pairing them with other students for transportation, seeking a donation or scholarship if you charge tuition, or explaining the benefits of participation. Understand that they may already have plans. A personal invitation says you care.
