Rally Sunday Is All About Staying In Touch
Have you ever met a person that you really liked but failed to exchange information to reconnect with them?
You planned for weeks to invite new visitors into your church home. You “sparkled” your church home to put your best foot forward. Then you came together as a family to create a welcoming environment. Your visitors really enjoyed the event. In the days and months to come, they will look back fondly ~ and with good intentions to attend again ~ when they have time. Time slips by and you do not see them. You have no way to call or drop them a note in the mail because the “follow up” piece of your event was missing.
Do not forget to gather their important contact information from your guests. Registration Cards are a great tool to use for this. Not only to confirm their contact information but also to learn about their family.
Distribute the Registration Cards to your members who will engage your visitors. Have them invite your guests to Sunday School or invite them to participate in your upcoming holiday events. Plan a follow up get together for potential new members. You are competing with your new members against a busy fall schedule and the noise of life. You have been intentional about including them into your church family.
